Orville Dean “O.D.”Harlow, 85, passed away on October 8, 2012. Orville was born on February 18, 1927 in Yale, Oklahoma to Orville Edward and Esther Marie (Parker) Harlow. O.D. proudly served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He enjoyed oil painting, OU football, water skiing, fishing, and playing dominoes.
O.D. was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Nelson Eugene Harlow; and his little dog, and companion of 18 years, Andrew. Survivors include his sister, Pat Klingsick, sister-in-law, Claudine Harlow, nieces and nephews, Pam Gniech (Steve), Steve Harlow (Rhonda), Krysti Patterson (Steve), Mike Klingsick, Ron Klingsick (Shirley), Russ Klingsick (Mandy), Rod Klingsick (Deb); and many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorial donations be made to The Humane Society or the Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church Building Fund. A funeral service with military honors will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 12, 2012 at the Sunnylane Southern Baptist Church. A private burial will be held at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery.
