

Ralph was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and trusted friend. He attended and graduated High School from St. Louis, OK. He served his country in the U.S. Navy, being honorably discharged in 1947. On May 14, 1948 he married his high school sweetheart, Leneve Henderson, in Shawnee, OK.
He later attended the University of Oklahoma where he graduated in 1951, earning his B.S.B.A. Degree, majoring in Accounting. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1953. He joined the local CPA Firm of Billups, Wood and Champlain. In 1953 he helped form the CPA Firm of Moak, Hunsaker and Rouse, which eventually merged into Price Waterhouse Coopers, a National firm where he was partner in charge of the Tax Department. He retired from Price Waterhouse Coopers on June 30, 1990.
He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, also the Oklahoma Society of CPA’s, and was past President of the Estate Planning Counsel of Oklahoma City. He was a Charter Member of the Committee of One Hundred of Oklahoma City, where he served as Secretary-Treasurer and Member of the Board of Directors.
He was a member of Meadowood Baptist Church. Upon retirement, Ralph enjoyed playing golf, loved to read, and was an avid OU Football fan. The time he enjoyed best was when his family could be together, ESPECIALLY on “Legal Holidays” which was any day of the week.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Allie Rouse; his wife of fifty-three years, Leneve; his sons, James David Rouse and Dr. Gary A. Rouse; his second wife Ellen Bailey; daughter-in-law Terri L. Rouse; brothers Frank and Harold Rouse; sister Alma Smith; stepmother Marjorie (Childers) Rouse; and granddaughter Donna Chandler.
His is survived by his daughter, Marilyn R. Richards and her husband, Bill; daughter-in-law Suzanne Rouse; grandchildren Janna R. and David Rouse, Brent Richards and his wife Abbey, Jamie L. Jones and her husband Carl, and grandson by marriage Donald S. Manning and his wife Christina; and many great-grandchildren, family and friends.
Ralph was a good man who was loved and admired by all who knew him. He was truly a man of integrity.
Visitation for Ralph will be from 4-8pm, Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home in Del City. Funeral services will be at 10:30am Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at Meadowood Baptist Church in Midwest City, with burial to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
