

Rheba was born January 30, 1922, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma, to Evert C. and Elsie (Kelley) Dean. She was married to Prentice Lee Martin, Jr for 64 years.
Rheba was an avid bowler and served on numerous committees during years of bowling. She was inducted into the State bowling hall of fame. In addition to helping others improve their bowling game, Rheba really loved fishing for Striper at Lake Texoma. She will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Steven L. Martin; two brothers: Wilton K. Dean and Ernest Dean; three sisters: Sheba Gettys, Betty Heart and Aubra Branson.
She is survived by her son: Robert D. Martin, and his wife, Susan of Moore, OK; daughter: Ernestine Lafrance, Oklahoma City; daughter-in-law: Dana Martin, Oklahoma City.
We would like to acknowledge a very loving and special person, Catherine to those who know her as “Cat”. Cat spent many years loving and caring for Rheba. She will always be a member of our family. Also thank you to the staff of Fidelis Assisted Living and to Mission Hospice, who will be missed.

Rheba Mae Martin, 94, of Oklahoma City, passed away on December 9, 2016, in Oklahoma City after her long battle of Alzheimer’s disease ended.

Funeral services have been entrusted to Sunny Lane Funeral Home. Services will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Sunny Lane Funeral Home Chapel with Leslie Johnson, of East Lake Cumberland Presbyterian Church, officiating. Burial will immediately following in Sunny Lane Cemetery.
