

Richard Henry Finch, Sr. 68, was born Apr. 10, 1937 in rural Canadian County to Rosa & Richard (Dick) Finch. He passed away on Dec. 3, 2005 at his home after battling cancer. He grew up in Hinton and attended Okla. City schools. Richard married Carolyn Partlow Munch and resided in Oklahoma City where he began a lawn care service and later opened Finch’s Sales and Services on the Classen traffic circle next to Horn’s Seed Co. Richard was skilled in his trade and knew how to fix anything. His motto was “if we can’t fix it, it ain’t broke.” He was a successful businessman and his customers became his friends. His business was a place to gather socially and he always had time to visit. His word was his bond and you could trust him with anything. Richard is preceded in death by his mother Rosa Mae, father Richard, wife Carolyn Jo Finch, son Richard Henry Finch, Jr. and sister Parthenia Murphy. He is survived by his half-sisters Dorothy Keller of Binger, Gladys Sinclair of Choctaw, daughter-in-law Jennifer Juhl, grandson Richard Henry Finch III of Oklahoma City, son Steven Munch, granddaughter Shannon Turner, great-grandson Dylan Turner, sister-in-law Connie Wattenbarger, all of Bakersfield, CA and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
