Robert LeGrande

Robert Daniel LeGrande, 53, of Shawnee went to be with the Lord on Sunday September 23, 2012. Robert was born on September 3, 1959 to Bob and Nancy LeGrande. He attended Del City High School where he excelled as a wrestler. He continued his education at the University of Central Oklahoma where he earned a bachelor’s degree in safety engineering and a master’s degree in adult education and was a member of two wrestling teams that received national championship awards. Robert’s career in safety has made a significant impact for the lives of many he trained. Robert enjoyed watching football, fishing and spending time outdoors at the lake. He loved his family and friends deeply, and his laugh will live on in our hearts forever.

Robert is survived by his best friend and wife Marlene, his children Robyn Mena and Casey LeGrande, his stepchildren Sarah Gore and Samuel Thomas, his grandchildren Kingston, Laneston and Henlee, his parents Robert and Nancy LeGrande, step-brother Joe Carmen, as well as many more relatives and countless close friends. He was preceded in death by his brother Rodney LeGrande.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Robert's honor to the Leukemia Lymphoma Society of Oklahoma.

Private services were held Saturday, September 29, 2012.
