In 1979 Rudy married the love of his life, Charlotte Anne (Wilson). Rudy worked extremely hard to provide a good life for his family. He felt that he was always a kid at heart and always tried to see the bright side of things, regardless of the situation. He often said that life was too short to not have fun, which is where his unique sense of humor fit in. Rudy worked for the Department of Transportation for 35 years and during that time he enjoyed helping his co-workers with their computer issues. Rudy loved to fish and also enjoyed playing computer games, reading, and his little Chihuahua, Bonnie.
Rudy is preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Micheal Brockelsby; and brother, Richard Brockelsby. Survivors include his loving wife of 32 years, Charlotte; children, Rudy Leon Brockelsby, Jr. and wife Anna, Amy Mantooth and husband David, Jeremy Brockelsby and wife Belle; grandchildren, Cody Arney and Drake Mantooth; siblings, Leon Brockelsby and wife Karen, Gary Brockelsby and wife Gabi; sister in law, Penny Brockelsby.
