Sandra Mae Jones

Sandra Mae Jones, 43, of Midwest City, Oklahoma, departed this life on March 24, 2010 after a courageous battle with her health. Born in The Philippines on August 5, 1966 to Robert and Le Ngan Yeatts “Sandy” was kind and generous to all.

Sandy attended Midwest City High School and Rose State College in Midwest City, Oklahoma. She loved children and found her professional passion working with students at Jarman Middle School until her health failed her.

Sandy married the love of her life, Travis, on March 27, 2005 after reentering each other’s lives 26 years after graduating from the same high school. Travis stood by her side and was her best friend always.

Sandy leaves behind her husband, Travis Jones, sons Kori Robert Yeatts of Oklahoma City, and Jason Dewayne Edwards, of the home, her parents Le Ngan Yeatts and Howard High of Midwest City, mother-in-law JoAnn Jones of Midwest City, sisters Bonnie Zearley (Chris) of Raytown, Missouri, Bobbie Brooks-Nubine (Jonathan) of Edmond, Brother-in-law Vance Jones (Tina) of Midwest City, Nephews Ryan, Peyton, Mathew, Aaron, Wyatt, Shelby, Jonathan Jr., Nieces Abigail, Maliah, and Kayvon and countless family and friends whose lives she has touched.

Sandy was preceded in death by her father, Robert Wilson Yeatts, son, Johnathan W. Edwards, and Niece Alexis Paige Brooks.

Sandy touched so many lives with her beautiful smile and generosity and maintained her trademark sense of humor to the very end. She enjoyed spending time with her family and making beautiful quilts for her mother to finish.

Family and friends are invited to attend service at Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home on SE 29th in Del City, March 27 at 2 pm. Burial is to follow at Sunnylane Cemetery.
