Tom Franklin Faris

Tom Franklin Faris passed away on December 26, 2021. He was born on January 29, 1944 in Oklahoma City, OK to C.F. Faris and Allene Ferguson. He graduated from Del City High School in 1962, and then went to work for Frisco/BNSF Railroad. He worked for them for 33 years and retired in 1999. Tom married Mamie Cox, and together they had two children, Keith Faris and Angie Stewart. He married Patricia Hurt in 1982, and they were together until her passing in 2007. He then married Becky Puckett on August 25, 2014.

Tom enjoyed woodworking and building things with his hands, crafting, antiquing, fishing, and loved listening to old country music. He loved family gatherings and enjoyed playing with his grandchildren.

Tom was a person with a kind and caring heart. Throughout the course of his life, he cared for many family and friends through sicknesses and in their final days. He was surrounded by lots of family and love at the time of his passing. He will be greatly missed.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Faris; step-daughter, Eva Hurt; step-son, Donald Hurt; parents, C.F. Faris and Allene Ferguson; siblings, Rex Faris and Charlotte Vaught; and grandson, Michael C. Stewart.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Faris; son, Keith Faris (Toni); daughter, Angie Stewart; grandchildren, Tim Crawford, Lauren Faris (Ryan), Emily Barker (Tyler), Gage Stewart (Kaelyn), Katelyn Legako (Mark), and Olivia Faris; great-grandchildren, Coby Cooper, Kinsley Crawford, Evie Stewart, Ella Stewart, and baby Stewart; siblings, Carolyn Dalton, Cindy Faris, Pam Geionety, and Roger Reynolds; and a host of other relatives and friends.
