Tyler Lee Reed

Tyler Lee Reed left this earth on March 21, 2023 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born in Silver City, NM on March 9, 1992. His family moved to Cabot, AR where they lived briefly before moving to Del City, OK in 1996. In the end Tyler battled demons of addiction and mental illness but that is not the Tyler that I choose to remember. I choose to remember the handsome young man with beautiful blue eyes that always wore a smile and trusted everyone he met. The man who believed that everyone, no matter what they did, deserved a second chance (often third and fourth chance as well). Tyler was a sweet and loving little boy and for years his sister was his best friend. He excelled at most things with little effort, reading, school, playing the clarinet and baseball. He loved video games, animals, his friends and family. He truly was a gentle soul. It is my desire that when you think of Tyler, this is boy/man that you remember.

He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Reed, grandparents, James and Jodene Eason, Norman “Shakey” Reed and Nelda and John Morris. He is survived by his mother, Spring Reed, his sister, Tasha (Reed) Moody and her husband David, nieces Brina and Amelia, nephew Owen, Grandma Margaret Tatreau and her husband Dean as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins including His Aunt Crystal and Uncle Mike who were a blessing the past few years.

Tyler will be cremated and in lieu of a service, please get together, reminisce, share stories and good memories him. In lieu of flowers or cards, please honor him and support your local NAMI, mental health or homeless organization.
