Viola Pyle

Funeral services for Viola Mae Pyle, age 86 of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the Sunny Lane Cemetery Chapel. Brother Bruce Christian will officiate.

Viola was born the daughter of Calvin Gilmore Williams and Mary Etta Hinds on November 3, 1927 in Wichita Falls, Texas. She died on February 2, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Viola grew up in Oklahoma City where she met James Nathan Pyle while working at the Wilson Packing Plant where they both were employed. They were married on November 5, 1945. She also worked at Cains Coffee, Continental Plastics, DeGraffenreids Bakery, and the City of Oklahoma City Municipal Courts until she retired as the court supervisor.

Viola was a member of the Southern Temple Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was preceded in death by her husband James, parents Calvin and Mary Etta, brothers Thomas G. Williams and H. Wayne Parks, sisters Mary Lee Hathcox, Juanita Liebman, Patricia Erwin and Wanda Boully and stepson Jasper “Buddy” Pyle.

She is survived by one brother, William C. “Bill” Williams of Oklahoma City, son Nathan Pyle and wife Christi of Bridge Creek, daughter Debra Lira of Newcastle, step daughter Francis Loretta McGregor of Lexington, 5 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Interment will be in the Sunny Lane Cemetery.
