

Wanda Lee Stephens was born February 21, 1933 in Arbyrd, Missouri to Willard Alexander Robbins and Lora Emeline (Bean) Robbins. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma City. About 5 years ago she and Leon moved to Burleson, TX to live with their daughter Cindy. Wanda stepped into the presence of God for all of eternity on September 14, 2016, she was 83.
Wanda met and married the love of her life, Leon Stephens, in 1949 and they were married 67 years. “MaMa”, as known to those that knew and loved her, was the kindest of souls. Loving her family and friends was her life’s calling. Once Wanda met you, she was your friend. People pointed to her smile and happy disposition when they talk about her. For Wanda, it was a blessing to have the opportunity to feed and serve you. She loved fellowshipping around the dinner table and listening to all the stories about life and family. She was always there to offer encouragement, never blame or judgement. Wanda was a Christian devoted to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She loved to sing special music in the church with her daughter, Sharon. Wanda was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church for most of her adult life.
Wanda loved photo finishing where she spent her working career. She was a constant reader for her own enjoyment and the pleasure of her children. Wanda and Leon were avid bowlers where they enjoyed one another’s company and spent time with their friends.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Flossie VanNoy and her husband Elbert, a son, Danny Leon Stephens, and daughter, Sharon Lee Stephens. Wanda is survived by her loving husband, Leon Stephens, brother, Donald Robbins, sister, Mary Page, daughter, Cynthia Pennington and her husband, Dennis, three grandsons, Todd Pennington and his wife Courtney, Brian Pennington and his wife Jennifer, Shad Pennington and his wife Haley, and six great grandchildren: Jordan, Trevor, Abby, Chloe, Cooper, and Ben Pennington.
