June 3, 1962 in Kansas City, Missouri. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1985-1989. During this time he served as a helicopter mechanic.
Zane will be remembered for his talents as a carpenter, incredible work ethic and immense passion for life. A true outdoorsman he enjoyed fishing, and tending to this garden. He also was a huge NASCAR fan. Zane loved spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Darrell L. Zumwalt. Survivors include his parents, Nancy (Chisum) Zumwalt and Jackie Zumwalt; common-law wife, Sonya Faye Cook; children, Jasmine Parrish and husband Wyatt, and Keith Bailey; extended daughters, Sabrina Bennett and husband, Gary, and Renee Boller and husband, Anthony; grandchildren, Eryn, Kamryn, Jaxon, Grady, and Sammy; siblings, Cheryl Zumwalt, Ginger Coale, Vickie Zumwalt, Steve Dearing, Kimberly Johnson and husband, Larry, and a host of relatives and friends.
