Belva Barras Landry

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Bradley Landry, the former Belva Barras, age 79, at 10:00 am on Friday, June 24, 2011 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Kenny Maine will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoloeum.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native of Iberia Parish and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Landry passed away at 4:04 pm on Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at Meadowbrook Hospital.

Mrs. Belva loved having coffee with her family and friends every morning, sewing and listening to and singing country music. She was the matriarch of the family who cared for and loved her children and grandchildren. She will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved her.

Mrs. Landry is survived by three daughters, Cindy Goforth and husband Willie of Kentucky; Mona Broussard and Tricia Mire both of Delcambre; two sons, Duke Landry and wife Debbie of Baton Rouge and Barry Landry of Delcambre; seven grandchildren, Mandy Spindler; Callie Goforth; Brad Goforth; Caleb Landry; Dak Broussard, Joby Mire and Zain Mire and eleven great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Anna Viator and husband AJ of Delcambre; two brothers, Darrell Barras of Abbeville and Gerald Barras of Delcambre; two half brothers, John Barras and Felix Kent Barras both of Abbeville and two half sisters, Rosemary Delahoussaye and husband Larry of St. Martinville and Lily Barras.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bradley Landry; parents, Paul and Lily Landry Barras; one sister, Mona Faye Barras; one brother, Donald Barras and one half brother, Vernon Barras.

Pallbearers will be Benny Migues, Danny Migues, Caleb Landry, Dak Broussard, Joby Mire and Larry Landry.

Honorary pallbearers will be Homer Stelly and Zain Mire.
