A loving father, step-father, grandfather, son, grandson, brother, uncle and friend to all, Booth will be missed dearly. He was a fun loving guy who enjoyed the simple things in life. Booth, better known as “Booty” by his work friends, liked being outdoors fishing and duck hunting, shooting pool with friends and his loving daughter, Faith, and playing golf. Booth was very kind and mindful of other people’s needs and would not hesitate to give you the shirt off his back. He will be forever remembered for his love for family, his humor, and his good heart.
Booth is survived by his daughter, Faith Broussard; mother, Elizabeth Derise; sister, Markell Ayo (Johnathon); grandmother, Shirley Derise; grandchildren, Remy and Rosalee Sierra; nieces, Chloe and Caroline Ayo; uncles, William “Bill” Derise (Jill), Adam “A.J.” Derise (Darby), Timmy “Slim” Derise, and Karl Derise (Christy); great friend, Margaret Derise; friend, Heather Broussard; and step-children, Cora Lancon and Alex Segura.
He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Grady Derise; uncles, Brian Broussard and Rixby Broussard; aunts, Trudy Broussard and Renee Broussard; and great grandparents.
Memorial services will be held for Booth “Booty” Jude Broussard on Saturday, May 21, 2022 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Delcambre. Fr. Buddy Breaux will officiate. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
A memorial gathering of family and friends will take place at the church on Saturday from 9:00 am until the service time. A rosary will be prayed by the Knights of Columbus at 10:00 am.
