Dorothy Henry "Dot" Dooley

DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Mrs. Arthur Paul Dooley, the former Dorothy Henry, age 89, at 2:00 pm Friday April 22, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Thomas Voorhies officiating and Fr. Nathan Comeaux concelebrating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Dooley passed away at 4:20 pm on Tuesday April 19, 2016 at her residence.

Mrs. Dooley’s favorite pastime was spending time with her family and friends, dancing the night away, and planting flowers in her garden.

She is survived by her son, Doyle Dooley and companion Lorita Gilmore of Delcambre; daughters, Linda D. Dore and husband Melvin and Vickie D. Rogers and husband Gene all of Delcambre; grandchildren, Melanie LeMaire and husband Corey, Bart Dore, Kipp Dore and wife Cara, Doyle Dooley, Jr. and wife Delean “Dee Dee”, Blair Bourque and husband Louis, Maegan Renard and husband Peter, and Dawn D. Willis and husband Tim; and great grandchildren, Bailey Dore, Laura Dore, Jerret Dooley, Brooke Dooley, Kiley Patin, Seaver LeMaire, Ashlyn Bourque, Owen Bourque, Logan "Arthur" Bourque, Auria Chanthaphone, Jacob Willis, and Logan Willis; step-grandchildren, Markell Ayo and husband John Ayo; and step-great grandchildren, Chloe and Caroline Ayo and Faith Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Paul Dooley, brother, Herbert Henry Jr.; and parents, Edna and Herbert Henry.

Pallbearers will be Jeff LeBlanc, Bart Dore, Kipp Dore, Kiley Patin, Seaver LeMaire, and Bailey Dore. Honorary pallbearers will be Doyle Dooley Jr., Jerret Dooley, Louis Bourque, Peter Chanthaphone, and Corey LeMaire

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to Dot’s caregivers, Penny Boudreaux Solet, Janet Hollier, and Dorena Touchard for their compassionate care and love they extended to her.
