Joey James Barras

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Joey James Barras, age 63, at 10:30 am on Friday, April 12, 2013 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Ed Degeyter will officiate at the services. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

A rosary will be recited at 10:00 am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.

A native of Vermilion Parish and resident of Delcambre, Mr. Barras passed away at 1:50 pm on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center..

He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Pam LeBlanc Barras of Delcambre; two daughters, Jolyn Barras of Lafayette and Lanie B. Guillory and husband Joshua of Delcambre; one grandson, Cooper Guillory of Delcambre; parents, Palmer and Flo Migues Barras of Delcambre; one sister, Paula Vinet and husband Toby of Delcambre and three brothers, Ronnie Barras and wife Gwen and Kenny Barras and wife LiliDell all of Delcambre and Chris Barras of Lafayette.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

Memorial donations may be made in his name to the charity of one’s choice.
