DELCAMBRE – Funeral Services will be conducted for Leroy LaSalle, Sr., age 58, at 10:30 am Friday, October 8, 2010 at Evangeline Funeral Home with Fr. Ed Degeyter officiating. Inurnment will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 2:00 pm at Migues Cemetery. Inurnment services will be conducted by Fr. Herb Bennerfeild.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 10:00 pm on Thursday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Friday until service time.

A native of Kaplan and resident of Delcambre, Mr. LaSalle passed away at 4:14 pm on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital.

He is survived by his wife of37 years, Linda Bourque LaSalle of Delcambre; his children, Stephanie L. Mergist and husband Toby of Erath; Samantha LaSalle of Erath; Leroy LaSalle, Jr. and wife Kelly of Erath; Chad LaSalle and Kimberly LaSalle both of Delcambre and six grandchildren, Shelby Romero; Braie LaSalle; William LaSalle; Gavin Arabie and Kadence and Addison Mergist. Mr. LaSalle is also survived by two brothers, Allen LaSalle and his wife Belinda of New Iberia and Billy LaSalle and his wife Brenda of Berwick and two sisters, Gloria York and Janelle Vincent and her husband Robert all of Kaplan.

He was preceded in death by his son, Dusty LaSalle; parents, Melvin Adam and Maudrey Richard LaSalle; two brothers, Calvin and Lennis LaSalle and one sister, Jeanette Maturin. Mr. LaSalle is also preceded in death by his in laws, Cloday and Elda Touchet Bourque.
