Loretta Bernard Landry

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Ludovic “Don” Landry, the former Loretta Bernard, age 71, at 11:00 am Monday March 1, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with Fr. Herb Bennerfield officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Lake Mausoleum.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 pm on Sunday with a Rosary at 7:00 pm. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Monday until service time.

A native of Intracoastal City and resident of Delcambre, Mrs. Landry passed away at 4:55 am on Friday February 26, 2010 at her residence.

Mrs. Landry was a devout Catholic, a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church and St. Anne’s Altar Society. She enjoyed praying the Rosary, and was a collector of Rosaries and Seraphin Angels. Mrs. Loretta retired from the U. S. Marshal’s Office after 13 years of employment. She loved going to the casino, Karaoke, her dog, Bijou and watching softball, escpecially the Delcambre Lady Panthers.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Ludovic “Don” Landry of Delcambre; her children, Tina L. Broussard and husband Joseph ”Joey” of Delcambre, Timothy Landry and wife Jeanette of Abbeville, Terri A. Landry and husband Gil of Delcambre, Tammy Dupre and husband Joseph “Joe” of Lafayette, and Tara Landry of Delcambre; grandchildren, Tiffany Faulk and husband Jonathan, Lauren Broussard, Matthew Broussard, Regan Broussard, Jonathon Broussard, Nicholas Broussard, Allison Broussard, Dustin Landry, Zachary Landry, Shaely Landry, Bren Landry, and Julia Landry; and one sister, Betty Bernard of Abbeville.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Stella Choate Bernard; and sister, Margaret Lege.

Pallbearers will be Joseph “Joey” Broussard, Gil Landry, Joseph “Joe” Dupre, Matthew Broussard, Jonathon Broussard, Nicholas Broussard, and Bren Landry.

Memorial donations may be made in Mrs. Landry’s name to LA Hospice and Palliative Care-422 Kade Drive, Suite4, Jennings, LA 70546.
