Rosy Touchet Thibodeaux

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Mrs. Rosy Touchet Thibodeaux, age 91, at 2:00 pm Friday June 11, 2010 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Herb Bennerfield will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in the church mausoleum.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Thursday from 3:00 pm until 9:00 pm, with the rosary to be recited at 6:30 pm. The funeral home will reopen on Friday from 9:00 am until services.

Mrs. Thibodeaux passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at Abbeville General Hospital. She was a native of Bayou Tigre and attended school in Henry, and was a homemaker who was devoted to the love and care of her family. She will be dearly missed.

Survivors include her children, Oswald Thibodeaux and wife Becky of Mercer Island, WA, and Cheryl T. LeBlanc of Delcambre; six grandchildren Troy Romero of Lafayette, Christy Romero and companion Richard Darby, Todd Romero, Jenee Romero and companion Raymond Creighton, and Brooke Delcambre all of Delcambre, and Andre Thibodeaux of Mercer Island, WA; three great grandchildren, Lexie and Carson Creighton, and Johnathon Romero; and her sister, Stella Touchet Landry of Broussard.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alphe “Beb” Thibodeaux; her daughter and son-in-law, Linda T. Romero and Carroll; parents, Seveignier and Victoria Romero Touchet; and her brothers and sister, Evest Touchet, Joseph Villy Touchet, and Rita Touchet Reaux.

Pallbearers will be Troy and Todd Romero, Wayne and Terry Touchet, Relie Reaux, and Richard Darby.
