Zita Renard Miguez

DELCAMBRE – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated for Zita Renard Miguez, age 89, at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 26, 2015 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Fr. Gilbert Dutil will be the celebrant. Interment will follow in Our Lady of the Lake Cemetery.

A gathering of family and friends will be held at Evangeline Funeral Home of Delcambre on Wednesday from 11:00 am until 10:00 pm with the Rosary being recited at 7:00 pm. Visiting hours will resume on Thursday from 8:00 am until 1:30 pm.

Zita was born May 9, 1925 in Iberia Parish to the late Robert Renard and Cora Dutil Renard and passed away peacefully on Monday, February 23, 2015 at Eastridge Nursing Home in Abbeville.

As a devout catholic, Zita was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, the Womens Auxiliary, St. Ann Altar Society, and Come Lord Jesus. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Miguez (Maggie); her grandchildren, Danielle LeBlanc (Craig “Bud”), Max Miguez (Kristi Hanes), Demi LeBlanc (Durke), and her great grandchildren; Ty LeBlanc, Marly LeBlanc, Chloe LeBlanc, Courtni LeBlanc, Kazzley Langlinais and Adyle Langlinais.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Cedric Thomas Miguez; her husband, Rufus Miguez; sister, Odelia LeBlanc; and brothers, Sidney Renard and Whitney Renard.

Pallbearers will be Craig LeBlanc, Ty LeBlanc, Max Miguez, Nick Renard, Robbie Barras, Ben Lopez.

Honorary pallbearers are Herman LeBlanc, Cleve Renard, and Harold Renard.
