

Bernard was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, good friend and respected businessman. He was well known in the shrimp industry, serving on the Southeastern Fisheries Association and National Fisheries Institute boards as Director for many years and was asked by the Trinidad and Tobago government to bring his fleet of boats down to Trinidad and start the shrimp industry in the West Indies. He and his wife, Susan, lived in Trinidad for five years where their children Clifford and Lori were born.
Born in Miami and raised on Amelia island, Florida, Bernard spent most of his life in the South Florida area. After returning to Florida from Trinidad, he and his family lived in Coral Gables for 21 years and then moved up to Boca Raton for 25 years. He was currently living in Boynton Beach, Florida. Bernard loved the Berkshires in Western Massachusetts where he and his family owned homes and spent summers there for 32 years.
Bernard is survived by his wife, Susan, his children, Clifford, Lori, and Barry (Dottie) grandchildren Austin, Alex, Francis, and four great grandchildren, His dear brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim and Joanne Krisel, and many nieces and nephews.
