Elaine L. Herman (Lowenthal) age 99 of Buffalo, NY passed away peacefully on June 13th 2025. Born on April 11th 1926 in Hackensack NJ, Elaine lived a long and fulfilling life marked by love, resilience, and devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
Elaine was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ira Herman. Together they built a life grounded in love and hard work. Elaine was best known for her wit and charm from behind the counter at the H&I Delicatessen in Oceanside NY where she served neighbors and friends for over 40 years. In retirement, Elaine moved to Delray Beach, Florida with her husband Ira.
Elaine was preceded in death by her daughter Cheryl Moran and grandson Brady Holland. She is survived by children Mildred (Bob) Holland, Hal (Barbs) Herman, Grandchildren Blake (Marissa) Holland, Alexandra (Josh) Bertram, Jake (Hannah) Herman, Joe Moran, Wesley Moran and great grandchildren.
Elaine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
