Helene Egelman Selbiger

Beloved by her daughters, Wendy Safran (Jeffrey Feinman) and Carol Safran (Peter Eckstein) as well as grandchildren Jason (Leslie), Sally, Ma’ayan (Scott), Keren, and Joshua; great grandchildren August, Levin, Brett, and Yair ; and her “bonus” sons Mitch and Jody. Helene was a loving sister to Larry Lamb. She was predeceased by her son, David, and husbands Jack Selbiger and Harry Egelman.

Helene will be remembered as a sweet, funny, warm, and intelligent woman who was fiercely loyal to those she loved. She was a voracious reader and a prolific artist. Helene was a woman of the world – an intrepid traveler who was perennially curious. She was a passionate Zionist who travelled to Israel many times, including a stint as a volunteer with the Israel Defense Forces and was an ardent supporter of Hadassah, serving as chapter President as well as several other Executive Board positions.

Gone to soon from our lives, Helene will live on in the memories of those who knew and loved her.
