Herbert Joel Kaufman

Herb was born in Everett, Massachusetts on Dec.28, 1935 to Harry and Anna Kaufman.

He spent his early childhood years in both Dorchester, Ma and later Roxbury, Ma. Herb was a 1953 graduate of Roxbury Memorial High School. He graduated Northeastern University with a degree in Physics and went on to obtain his Masters degree in Electrical Engineering from Northeastern in 1958.

He was co-owner of Kanan Associates, a manufacturer's rep of semiconductors and components in the Boston area for many years.

Herb was very active in tennis through his adult life and loved the sport. He also enjoyed walking in nature daily.

He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Anna Kaufman, his first wife Arlene and his son Alan.

He leaves behind his loving wife of thirty years Fran, sons Jeffrey Kaufman and David Kaufman (Dulcinea), grandchildren Andrew and Zachary Kaufman and Corbin and Arianna Kaufman and great granddaughter Madison Kaufman. Herb also leaves behind his sisters Sandy Berger and Beverly Wolfe and his brother-in-law Stuart Cohen

Services will be held Sunday, Nov, 30, 2025 at 11:15 at Riverside-Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, 7202 W. Atlantic Ave. , Delray Beach FL.

A committal service will be held at Agudath Israel Cemetery in West Roxbury on Wednesday, December 3, 205 at 11:30 am
