I was blessed to have Mrs. Kiefer as such a special part of my life. From the time I was 2 years old until I got married, she was more than just a neighbor-she was like a second mother to me.  Her home was always open and I was always welcome. I will never forget her warmth, her laughter, her wonderful cooking and the countless Sunday dinner where she made me feel part of the family. Some of my fondest memories are of bocce games in their yard with uncle Sal and grandpa, delicious pasta and her smile which could light up a room.  Mrs kiefer gave me the gift of live, belonging and joy and I will always carry her memory with deep gratitude always.

You were the cornerstone of my faith. My biggest prayer warrior and spiritual supporter. I used to get to celebrate with you on my birthday every year and now I will celebrate your life on my birthday every year! My biggest memories of you are eating strawberries and sugar and making mush out of orange sherbet…. Come to think of it most of my prominent memories of you have to do with food. But watching you light up when the great grandchildren came around was always the highlight of that day.

Your mom was a very special person and she will always be with you. She raised the most caring children and was such a great influence to all her grandchildren.
Your mother will forever be in my memories, every time I saw her she was so sweet and spoke so kindly of you all. 
She will live forever in all our hearts.

One of the best times was watching Grandma and her Grandson Anthony, my husband, dance their hearts out like no one was watching. Grandma was the best grandma even though she wasn’t mine. She loved me like her own, and I’ll never let go of the hair rubs and head kisses I would give every time I saw her. I miss you Grandma but I’m so happy you get to be with our Lord in Heaven. Until we meet again. I love you.

Thank you for all the wonderful memories throughout our childhood from peeling potatoes to dinners on Wednesday and of course waffle ice cream sandwiches. One of the easiest choices I've made in life is naming my son after you, my family loved you until the end. I don't believe in goodbyes so I will see you later. We love you.

There was always an adventure with your mom . She replaced my sister in many ways for me and a daughter to my mom and that i will never forget. Rich Disalvo .
    Rich and I were neighbors with Vinnie I believe 30 years or so I would see Vinnie every day, I loved her like a sister. She always helped anyone who needed it. She had more talent than I can tell you she taught her children how to knit SOW cook she spent time with everyone she knew and loved. She loved her children more than anything. She took care of her mom and raised her three children. When she moved away, my heart was broken, I would watch her son play in his yard with his trucks. She would never forget to visit me with her children whenever she came to New York. Everyone loved her. She helped with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. We always kept in touch. She was a great mother and a great friend. I love her children and I know they loved me. There’s a bond you can’t break. She would tell her children I can do this I can do this. And guess what she did it. She loved my mother-in-law Mrs. D as if she was her mother, it worked both ways they helped each other. I will miss her. She will be missed by many. She had a good life, thank the good Lord. I feel she is very happy now because she is with her husband. He worked very hard also. He was a good man. We loved him too. But God says we need you here now with me. He needs her help. If you see an angel, it just might be her checking on her children. October 2 is the feast of the Angels. She is watching over all of us. Have no fear she will always be there. Love Marylou.

My mom was a truly amazing person. The words do not exist for me to adequately express how she loved, the kind heart she had, or who she was to me. 
My mom was funny. “If I find it, can I hit you with it?” was a phrase she coined when we asked where something was. She made the BEST potato salad, chicken soup, fried eggplant and chicken cutlets. I believe we could taste the love in each of those dishes. When she came to my house, she would ask me “Where are you hiding the laundry baskets?” and would proceed to fold all the laundry on my dining room table. I find myself using the dining room table now when I fold, just because she did. It makes me feel close to her. 
Vincetta Kiefer was still not old when she was in her 70’s and 80’s. She was independent and spunky. She would make fun of the “old” people and the way they drove and pushed carts through stores. When she locked herself out of her house at the age of 84, she didn’t call anyone!  She crawled through her bedroom window. We took her tubing in northern Florida for her 75th birthday, and she had a blast! 

Her mind began to fail her in her early 90’s. Two falls at 94, left her unable to have any independence. When she stopped speaking she talked to me through those crystal eyes of hers.  She did not want to be taken care of. It was my HONOR to take care of her in my home. I wouldn’t have had it any other way. I hope she knew that she was never a burden. I would do it all over again if I had the chance. 
My mom will always live on through me, my sister and brother, her grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as her multitude of good friends. She was truly loved, with good reason. 

I truly believe you are watching over us Mom. Thank you for being you. Until we meet again Mom, know I miss and love you with all my heart.

I never really wanted to live in FL long term. I stayed because my parents were here. When our kids came along Mom was like a 3rd parent. She had a huge influence on them, & who they became.

I know the greatest gift I gave our kids, and myself, was the time spent with her, knowing & loving her.

Ah - what to say about my Aunt Vinnie. Growing up and moving out to Long Island, I remember when she first moved around the corner from our house, and all the great meals I got to enjoy because of her great cooking. She will be missed by all the family. Such a good giving heart. Anyone who knew her had to love her. There are too many good memories to pick one more special than the others. She even came to my wedding.  I will mention just one thing - She taught me how to make baked stuffed artichokes - best I ever tasted. Miss you and will still always remember.

“Aunt Vinny” was one of my parents’  dearest friends and was my beloved Godmother.  She was beautiful inside and out, kind and caring with a great sense of humor. She will be missed. Rest in peace Aunt Vinny ❤️🙏🏼 with love, Angie B

I remember my mom Vincetta talking about her cousin Sam’s daughter Vincetta .  When mom died I couldn’t remember cousin VIN’s married name. My mom told us stories about how her dad initially brought Sam, Sal and Chris over as his sons not nephews. By searching on line I was able to find Vincetta and tried to Visit her when I was in Florida. Subsequently I was able to Meet her daughters. Hopefully we will continue to maintain the family connection through the years. Roseann Romito, daughter of Vincetta Parnella Romito.

Fond memories of Vinny from Long Island to Delray Beach.  With  Gloria and Tony, Virginia and Santo and Andy and Vinny, What a crew they were, their card games and get togethers.
Vinny was always welcoming and helpful when  Irene and I would come down to Delray. You will always have a place in our hearts.

We were flying up to see Anthony graduate from boot camp and we were on a connecting flight but they let us stay on the plane because it was the same plane. So grandma had made everyone fresh chicken cutlet sandwiches, she opened the cooler and the flight staff was basically drooling because they could smell them. Then later that trip she put on this big red puffy winter coat and said “I look like the Michelin man” and we all laughed. Some of the memories I’ll never forget.

Grandma Vinnie welcomed me into the Riccobono family with open arms almost five years ago. She had an infectious smile and treated me like one of her grandkids. Her energy was indescribable; she always knew how to put a smile on someone’s face. It’s hard to pick one memory, but I will never forget the funny little jokes Grandma would say during family dinners. Our daughter Arabella had such a special bond with Grandma and we miss her every day. Ara shared her favorite memory of her bisnonna was “all of them,” specifically, “hanging out together at Nonna’s and watching movies…or when she would always talk to me. I loved her sooo much, I had a very great time spending time with her.” It still doesn’t feel real that we will not get to hear her laugh or see her smile again. We love you so much!

Vinnie Kiefer was a second Mom to me. Our families met when the Kiefers moved to Bellmore. My Mom died in 1970 and “Mrs. Kiefer” stepped in and was there for me. She would do a lot of the “Mom” things with me. Her house was always filled with love ,laughter,and delicious Sunday sauce. Everyone was always welcome❤️
She was there with my family at my high school graduation. I will never forget that she got me tickets to my first Broadway show.
Vinnie Kiefer truly was 1 in a million.

I’ll always remember those Thanksgiving weekends at Grandma’s when the whole family came together. Aunt Vinny was such a big part of those memories. She was always so patient, so kind, and made everything more fun for me and my brother. She and Grandma were inseparable, and it was clear how much love and respect they had for each other. Even though we only got to see her once or twice a year, she was always so excited to hear about what was happening in our lives, and she made us feel like those moments mattered. I’ll never forget her strength, her honesty, and the way she loved all of us. Losing her leaves a big hole, and she’s going to be missed more than I can ever put into words.

I will miss Vinnie so much. She was so easy to talk to and we talked about everything. Whenever I came to Delray I was so excited to see her and she made me feel the same way. When I was young my family lived in Queens and my parents would take me and my brothers  to the house in Bellmore. We thought we were in the country there was a pool and trees. We loved it, such great memories. 
Vinnie leaves a legacy of love, kindness and a beautiful family.
She will always be in my heart.

Tom and I loved Vinnie. She was always a bright spot in our careers with the Broward Sheriff’s Office.  She was Tom’s secretary and a friend to both of us up until the the Lord took her home.
She shared many of her recipes with me. She will be missed.

Vinnie was my dearest godmother, I will never forget the time she and Andy baby sat for me,  not sure what the event was for my Mom and Dad but I had a blast with my godmother and Andy;  I do remember Vinnie having a hard time cooking an over easy egg for me , it was either too under cooked or too over cooked.....Andy came to the rescue with a jelly egg omelette,  the very first one I ever had....that  stay is something I will cherish forever.  Vinnie and Andy also gave me my first remote control airplane, something I was afraid to fly and crash, I had to build my own trainer plane first to learn how  to fly the plane.
Joyce and I will aways have a place in our hearts for Vinnie and Andy,
Andy loved having another German in the family, it was always a topic of discussion when we got the family together. 
There are lots of memories with Vinnie in Florida,  she aways visited my Mom in  Delray Beach and would always stop by when we visited my Mom.  We know she was Mom's closest life long friend, and she will miss her as well.

Mrs.Kiefer reminded me a lot of my mom in many ways...always smiling, on the go,  and everybody loved them. I loved her sense of humor! My favorite memory is when we went to a bowling tournament in Orlando. After dinner my mom and Lisa sat outside on a bench and chatted while Mrs.Kiefer and I walked off our dinner. We laughed about how I should have been her daughter. A loving mother, grandma, Bisonna and friend that will be missed by many, but the memories will be forever!

I don't believe we ever saw Vinny unhappy. She was ALWAYS cheerful and in good humor!! We are fortunate to be neighbors with Lisa and Jerry and saw her many times through the years when she would come to visit her family.  She always gave a happy greeting. You could tell Vinny loved her family. We would be the lenders of the extra vegetable peeler at each holiday. They always needed two....one for her and one for one of her grandsons as they helped her peel all those potatoes to make the holiday dinner mashed potatoes. It warmed our hearts to know this was a tradition each year with whoever's turn it was to help. Loved that not only did she want to do that with them, but they loved having that time with their grandma. This is something we know the boys will remember. In the last few years, we got to see Vinny more often as Lisa and Jerry so lovingly cared for her in their home. It was a treat to see the enjoyment on her face as she would watch her great-grandchildren when they played outside. Her love for her whole family and really for anyone around her was obvious!
She will be missed!

My favorite memory of Ms. Kiefer was when my last baby was born. Lisa offered to allow me to use a cradle that was in her family for a few years. One that was built by her dad. On the day that Lisa brought it over to my house, Ms. Kiefer came with her. She showed me how to set it up and how to have it rock. Then she looked at me and said, you are the only person that we would allow to use this cradle outside of the family. I loved that cradle... my son, not so much. But it was something that stuck with me. That I, in her eyes, was worthy of using this family heirloom. Rest in the arms of Our Savior and fly with the angels Ms. Kiefer!

So sorry for your loss. Praying for all your family.

Vinnie’s spirit will be with us forever. She was one of the most beautiful, fun, loving, giving , energetic and dedicated women I know. I loved her smile, her keen sense of humor and her strong sense of self.
She was Alma’s soul mate and very loved by our family. I am so glad they crossed paths in this life and hope they will “see” each other in their next. May she rest in peace and her memory live on .
