

Vincetta C. Kiefer, a cherished resident of Delray Beach, Florida, passed away on August 20, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on July 25, 1929, in Brooklyn, New York, to Rose and Simone Calcagno, Vincetta was raised in Brooklyn, where she developed a strong foundation that would carry her through a life filled with love, dedication, and an unyielding spirit.
In 1956, Vincetta married Andrew Kiefer, and together they moved to Bellmore, New York, in 1959, where they raised their three children: daughters Lisa and Denise, and son Andrew. In 1981, the family relocated to Plantation, Florida. After the passing of her beloved husband Andrew in 1997, Vincetta moved to Delray Beach, Florida, where she embraced an active lifestyle well into her 80s. She was known for her adventurous spirit, exemplified by her determination to climb through a bedroom window at the age of 84 when she found herself locked out of her house.
Vincetta's career was marked by her dedicated service with the Broward Sheriff’s Department until her retirement. Her strong faith in the Lord was a guiding force throughout her life, and she was an active member of Emmanuel Church.
A talented cook, Vincetta was fondly remembered for her chicken soup, potato salad, chicken cutlets, and fried eggplant. Her kitchen was a place of warmth and hospitality, where she shared her love through her culinary creations. She maintained lifelong friendships with her high school friends, whom she regarded as family, and became a second Mom to many others.
Vincetta is survived by her sister Phyllis (Calcagno) Braccio; her children, Lisa (Kiefer) Riccobono, Denise (Kiefer) Perez, and Andrew Kiefer; seven grandchildren, Anthony Riccobono, Thomas Riccobono, Daniel Riccobono, Valerie (Perez) Steele, Chloe Perez, Andrew Perez, and Kaitlin Kiefer; and six great-grandchildren. She is also survived by many friends who adored her.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Andrew, and her brother, Salvatore Calcagno.
Services to honor Vincetta's life will be held at Riverside Stanetsky Memorial Chapel, located at 7205 West Atlantic Avenue, Delray Beach, FL 33446. Visitation will take place on August 25, 2025, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Emmanuel Catholic Church, 15700 South Military Trail, Delray Beach, FL 33484, on August 26, 2025, from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. The Committal Service will follow at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery, 1500 South State Road 7, North Lauderdale, Florida, from 1:00 pm to 1:30 pm.
Vincetta will be laid to rest at Our Lady Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Her vibrant spirit and love for life will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
