Wilfred was a Toronto kid who eventually found his forever home in Delray Beach, Florida. Born in 1927 to Solomon and Sarah Fogel, he moved to Florida more than 32 years ago and embraced it fully—the warmth, the humidity, the comfort of his home, and, most of all, the friendships that became family over time.
Wilfred passed away at the age of 98, leaving behind a life rich with meaning, connection, and love. He will be remembered for his endless curiosity, his vibrant spirit, and the pure joy he found in his wife, Barbara. Wilfred and Barbara shared 52 beautiful years together—years filled with devotion, laughter, mutual support, and an unwavering bond that was felt by everyone who knew them.
Wilfred lived a life of purpose and service. He was an entrepreneur, a leader, and someone who believed deeply in giving back. He proudly served as President of B’nai B’rith, volunteered with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Citizen Observer Patrol, and served as an Auxiliary Officer with the Toronto Police Service. Whether through community service or quiet acts of kindness, Wilfred always showed up for others.
Above all, Wilfred was a family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara, his seven children, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren—each a living reflection of the love, values, and generosity he shared so freely. His presence, his stories, and his warmth will be deeply missed, but his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched.
A funeral service will be held at Riverside-Stanetsky Memorial Chapels, located at 7205 West Atlantic Ave, Delray Beach, FL, 33446, United States. The service is scheduled for January 26, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:45 am.
