

Albert was born March 13, 1922 in Palmer, Texas to Manuel and Levina Harris. He was 10 when he had to run the farm. He served his country as a Marine in WWII. Later in life he worked at Harbison Fischer as shop foreman. He retired in September 1986. He became fulltime pastor of Gospel Chapel til he retired in February 2008. He may have retired as pastor, but he never retired from his service and dedication to the Lord.
Everyone that knew him knew his life was his walk with the Lord.
He was preceded in death by wife Dorothy; daughters Nancy Sue and Joan Martin; 3 grandchildren Rodney Harris, J. B. Cabler and Todd Phelps; great grandchild Sebastian Speir; daughter-in-law Reda Harris; parents; 4 sisters and 4 brothers.
His survivors include son Harvey Harris and wife Vicki of Ft. Worth, Texas; Shirley Cabler and husband Don of Memphis; son-in-law Mike Martin of Ft. Worth; 7 grandchildren Debbie Phelps, Richard and Dana Venable, Kelli Harris, Sharon Martin, Yancey and Christe Speir, Brett and Joanie Pierce, Melody Cabler and Don Cabler, 16 great-grandchildren.
Family will receive visitors Friday, January 23 from 7:00 – 9:00 P.M. at Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison, Texas.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 24 at 10:00 A.M. at Brown Trail Gospel Assembly in Hurst, Texas with Geo. Braggs, Mickey Perry and James Varner officiating. Burial will be in Smithfield Cemetery in N. Richland Hills, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Gospel Chapel, P.O. Box 2165, Denison, TX 75021 in honor of his dedication to this work.
