Alda Laveta Donelson

Mrs. Donelson was born November 4, 1921 to William Tell and Bertha Murdock of Texarkana, Texas.

Mrs. Donelson was a military wife and traveled extensively with her husband to Japan, Iran, and Saudi Arabia. She was a gifted sportswoman and excelled in softball, bowling, tennis and golf.

She is survived by a daughter, Doris Jean Hall and husband Jim of Panama City, Florida and son, Don Larry Donelson and wife Cathy of Denison, Texas; 5 grandchildren: Lori Jones of Jacksonville, Florida, Gay Wys of Coral Springs, Florida, Jeffrey Hall of Panama City, Florida, Lana Ridenour of Denison, Texas and Angie Harper of Denison, Texas; as well as 13 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchldren.

Mrs. Donelson was preceded in death by her husband, Bert L. Donelson, and 6 brothers Orville, Floyd, David L., Pat Estes, Horace, Bonnie Earl and one sister, Thelma.

Arrangements are with Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas. Family night will be Monday, May 11 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm. Service will be Tuesday at 10:00 am at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Keith Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarlawn Memorial Park in Sherman, Texas.

Pallbearers are Larry Townsend, Gordon Weger, Jimmy Cassell, Otis Tally, Gary Smith, Kevin smith and honorary pallbearer Eddie McAden.
