Barbara Ann Cherry

Barbara was born November 21, 1937 in Clovis New Mexico to J.C. and Thelma (Watson) Cherry. She loved to garden and be outside with nature. She was kind, generous, and loved her family and friends dearly. Her constant companion was Rusty, her little dog. She worked at Texas Instruments in Sherman & Midland Texas for 28 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Denison, Texas. She graduated Denison High School. She attended college at ETBC, Marshal Texas and Texas Womens University, Denton, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and grandparents Wilton and Effie Watson (Crubaugh), and Jacob and Marrietter (Stanley) Cherry.

She is survived by her son Sean Daugherty, Sheri Sheridan, and Granddaughter Brigid Daugherty of Plano, Texas. She is also survived by her first cousins, Lois Robertson and Norma Sue Watson of Denison, Virginia Bowling of Sherman, Sami Hatcher and Hazel Delcore of Wichita Falls, and Mike Watson of Pottsboro.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:45 PM, Friday, November 4, 2016 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison, Texas with Graveside to follow at 3:00 PM at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas officiated by Pastor Carl Builderback.
