Betty Louise Wright Dunn

Betty was born May 27, 1930 in Denison, Texas to Douglas Wright and wife Grace Mable Overturf Wright. She graduated from Denison High School in 1948 and married Curtis Glenn Dunn of Denison in 1950. Betty worked as a beautician, retired from Western Electric, then worked at Terrell Elementary in food service for many years. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Cartwright, Oklahoma. She enjoyed fishing, shopping, crosswords, spending time with family and friends and loved her dog Susie.

She is survived by sons Boyd Dunn, David Dunn, Douglas Dunn, all of Cartwright, Oklahoma; grandchildren Greg Dunn & wife Windi of Alba, Texas, Felicia Reynolds & husband Shane of Alba, Texas, Brandon Dunn & wife Kyla of Wylie, Texas, Holly Dunn of Canton, Texas, Michelle Burk of Forney, Texas, Jennifer Johns & husband Clay of Tyler, Texas, David Dunn & wife Misty of Tyler, Robert Cogburn of Tyler, Tracy Bassham & wife Lea of Ft. Worth; 16 great-grandkids and one great-great-grandson.

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison for visitation Friday, April 29, 2016 from 6:00 – 7:00 pm.

Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church in Cartwright, Oklahoma at 2:00 pm, Saturday, April 30, 2016 with Bro. Troy Phillips, pastor of FBC, Cartwright, Oklahoma officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Denison, Texas.

Pallbearers will be Greg Dunn, Brandon Dunn, Ryan Wilcoxson, Tracy Bassham, David Dunn, Robert Cogburn, Shane Dunn, Shane Reynolds and Clay Johns.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Victory Home Hospice, 800 Gallagher Dr., #D, Sherman, TX 75090.
