Davis Max Shaw

Max was born August 22, 1943 in Snyder, TX to Davis and Gladys Shaw. Max was a dedicated and loving husband, father and grandfather. He is survived by wife Carolyn of Denison & 4 sons: Trent Shaw of Garland TX, Wade Shaw & wife Frances of Royse City, TX, Kyle Shaw & wife Kristen of The Colony, TX, Curtis Shaw & wife Cathy of McKinney, TX, sister Jan Patterson of Arlington, TX, 5 grandchildren & one great-grandchild.

Max’s favorite pastime was spending time with his family and many friends. He was an outdoor enthusiast that spent countless hours hunting and fishing with his sons, grandchildren and friends.

Max was a retired banker that spent twenty years with American Bank of Texas in Sherman. In addition to working at American Bank, he also worked as the General Manager at Waterford Harbor Marina in Kemah, TX for the most recent eighteen years. Max greatly enjoyed the time he spent at the marina and the numerous friendships he formed while there. He will be greatly missed by his many friends throughout Texas.

Family Visitation: Thursday March 13, 2014 6-7pm at Bratcher Funeral Home, Denison. Funeral, Friday, 2pm, First United Methodist Church, Sherman with Rev. Chris Dowd & Rev. Joe Ed Goolsby officiating. Burial, Cedarlawn Memorial Park, Sherman.
