Elia Jane McCoy

Funeral services will be held Friday, June 5, 2015 at Park Avenue Church of Christ at 11:00 A.M., with Todd Catteau officiating. Visitation will be at the church from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M.

Jane was born in Pottsboro, Texas on Friday, August 12, 1927, the daughter of Frank Pearson and Marie Brogdon Pearson. She was a member of Park Avenue Church of Christ and more recently was a member of Heritage Church of Christ in Keller, Texas.

She was an artist, designer, seamstress and was also well known for her baking and cooking: Best Pies Ever! Lemon meringue was great-granddaughter Leah’s favorite. Jane made quilts and stuffed bunnies for hospitalized babies and children. She was loving, devoted to family, generous, caring, compassionate, gentle and kind.

She is survived by son Craig Louis McCoy & wife Lisa; daughter Michelle McCoy; grandchildren Lauren McCoy Tanner & husband Chase, Michael McCoy, Bryan McCoy; great-grandchildren Leah Tanner and Lynlee Tanner, all of Keller, Texas; brother Frank Pearson, Jr. of Santa Fe, New Mexico; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
