

Memory Care in Denison, Texas since October 27, 2011, passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015.
Born March 4, 1928 in Willis, Oklahoma, he was the son of James Martin and Callie Lou Dugger. He had two brothers and two sisters. He grew up in Loves Valley, then moved to Marietta where he got his first job working at the King Theatre. In his teenage years he joined the circus and then joined the Army Air Corps in 1946.
After receiving an honorable discharge from the Army Air Corps he moved
to Dallas where he worked making guns. He moved back to Marietta and opened the Round House Café. He then returned to Dallas and worked in construction and roofing. In 1979 he moved back to Marietta where he worked on heavy equipment
and owned rental property.
He loved singing, playing guitar, dancing and helping others. He served meals to homebound Love County residents through the Meals on Wheels program. He visited nursing homes and played music for the residents. He was loved and will be greatly missed. He requested that no services be held.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Martin and Callie Lou Dugger; two brothers, William A. Dugger and Wilburn "Curly" Dugger; and one sister, Margie Holt.
Survivors include a sister, Novie Brooks of Gainesville, Texas; three daughters, Debra and Roy Wickware and Janana and David Epperley, all of Marietta and Tammy Medley of Corsicana, Texas; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and close friends.
