

She passed away Friday, March 25, 2016 at Beacon Hill in Denison, Texas. Funeral services are Monday, March 28, 2016 at 10:30 A.M., at Bratcher Funeral Home Chapel with Todd Catteau officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 A.M. to 10:30 A.M., prior to the service. A private burial will follow.
After graduating from Denison High School in 1936, Jean worked for S.H. Kress & CO. as her first job. Later she was employed as a telephone operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and then went to work as a switchboard operator for the U.S. Corp of Engineers, who built the Denison Dam. She worked at Perrin AFB until it closed in 1971. Jean then got her real estate license and worked in that field until retirement.
Jean married Claude Woodley September 8, 1951 in Denison, Texas and they were married almost 50 years at the time of his death in 2001.
She was a charter member of Park Avenue Church of Christ, National Association of Retired Federal Employees, Chapter 1290, Disabled American Veterans Association, and Purple Heart Auxiliary.
Jean is survived by her brother, Leo McKee, many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by husband Claude Woodley, sisters Fannie Hite, Pearl Hall and Cleo Morrow, brothers Claude McKee and Earl McKee.
Those who knew Jean will have the memory of a generous, gracious and delightful personality who maintained a positive and undefeated spirt. Her favorite scripture: This is the day the Lord has made. We will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
