Martha Ann Morris Steele

Martha was born Sunday, October 4, 1931 in Clarksburg, West Virginia, the daughter of Robert H. Morris and Lois Thompson Morris. Martha received her Bachelor degree from the University of West Virginia and she was a public school teacher.

Martha adored her children and grandchildren. She is survived by sons John Steele & wife Sandi of Bells, Texas, James Steele & wife Susan of Lewisville, Texas, Robert Steele & wife Michelle of Pottsboro, Texas; daughter Sharon Blakeman & husband Tommy of Allen, Texas; brother Bob Morris & wife Polly of Jefferson City, Missouri; grandchildren Jeremy & Chrystal Bell, Sierra Steele, Tyler & Stephen Steele, Benjamin Blakeman; great-grandchildren Lilly Anna Bell and Gracelyn Bell.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dr. John Steele and sister Betty Caldwell.

The family will be at Bratcher Funeral Home for visitation Wednesday, February 24, 2016 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, February 25, 2016 at Bratcher Funeral Home in Denison with Dr. Kris Segrest officiating. Sharon Whiting will provide music. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Larry Riddle, Horace Groff, David Bayless, Jr., Chuck Phelps, Melvin Camp and Dave Parkey.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Texoma Regional Blood Center, 3911 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75091, are encouraged.
