Royce served in The United States Air Force for 4 years between WWII and Korean War. He proudly served as an inspector for Bell Helicopter for 30 years before his retirement . He had a love for collecting guns, knives, helicopters, and antiquing. He enjoyed bird watching in the flower garden. He and Jonie enjoyed traveling, dancing, and being with friends and family. He was an early riser, a patient teacher, a giver with a heart of gold. He also loved football, his favorite team was Denver Broncos. He had a love for tractors, he restored an antique 1950’s John Deere tractor. When you saw Royce he was always well dressed and smelling of Stetson Cologne.
Royce is survived by; daughter-in-law Rebecca Gentry (wife of Royce Jr.) kids Jessica, Jason, Taorn Shelly, Shawn, Ryan and Natlie Staggs; son Daniel Boone and wife Paula kids Corey and Casey; daughters Deborah Gentry; daughter Linda Jarvis kids Brandon and Kelsey; Sharon Boyce and husband Mark Moncrief; Mary Alice Gentry; grandchildren: Justin Watson, Cindy Johnson; Carla and husband Ashley Norris children: Eli and Sam Norris; Dr. Jeremy Johnson and wife Trina, children Caleb, Colby, Calyn; Deloris and husband Rodney Rendon children: Carissa Rendon, Lexy Powell, Landry Rendon, Aaron and wife Kathryn Powell, great great- grandson Judah Powell
Royce was preceded in death by his parents; wives' Modena Gentry and Jonie Gentry; sons Russell Gentry and Royce Edwin Gentry Jr. as well as his five brothers and one sister.
On Wednesday January 9th The family requests the presence of family and friends for a meal and sharing of memories from 11:30 to 1:30 with a memorial service to follow, at Antioch Baptist Church, Bells Texas.
