Daddy, 
I love you and miss you terribly.  There were a lot of issues and a few conflicts when I moved in to take care of you, but I'll always be grateful that we had that time together.  Like Jim,  I'm constantly thinking of things I want to ask you or tell you or show you and have to remind myself that you're no longer here.  There's a void in my life that no one else can ever fill.

Dad,
It has been over a month since you passed, and almost every day something happens that I think to myself - I'll have to tell Dad that the next time I call him - takes me a moment to realize that I just can't call to talk to you anymore.  Guess it just shows how much you meant to me and how much I miss you.  But all of your family loves and misses you.  Good memories will have to fill the void of your passing.  Much love from your son.

Art was a great person.  We're sorry that we missed his last 9 years but we think of him and Leota often.  They will be missed but remembered fondly.

Art, what a shock we got yesterday, opening this "In Loving Memory" card from Kathy. The last time we saw you was here in our own kitchen, you and Lea, about a year or so ago. We were so grieved to get the card about Lea's passing. And knowing what a great loss this was for you and the family. I know we should have come to see you, but Don no longer cares for drives of over 40 to 50 miles to  the  grocery stores and shopping. And just yesterday morning we were speaking of you, and how we first met. When sitting in the Hartsel "Mountain Muffin" café, and I was in a desperate situation, as my solar was all messed up and I knew not how to fix it and was told to get someone out of Denver and when told of the expense for just coming to Hartsel, knew I could not possibly afford it.  You and Lea, were at a corner table, and asked across the room, if I was speaking of a 24volt Solar set up, and I said yes.  Right off you asked where do you live? Give me directions and I'll come see if I can help. ME a total stranger, and your offer to help, just went straight to my heart.  I told you I would pay you, and you said, "Oh no, that's what neighbors are for". Again, I was so astounded by this gentleman's open generosity, I was at a loss for word. the lady I was talking to spoke up, and said," Hey Girl, you better take him up on it before he changes his mind".  Not you, Art, always a man of his word. And you knew just want the problem was, and fixed it in short order, and I was up and running my home again. No matter my insistents, you would not take my money, and only asked that when my husband arrived from Illinois, that we agree to come to dinner, and play cards. So little for so-o-o much.  And we four, became close and loving friends from that day forth. Remember the chore we had to put in our new gas furnace, and only you could have made it the easy job it was.  And the steps up to the attic in the cabin, when I was afraid to go up the pull down ladder. Our first and fun filled trip to the New Cripple Creek Gambling town.  So many good times and memories you and Leas left us with.  We so appreciate each and everyone.  We really hated it when you moved, and kept wanting to get over there to see you, but even then Don was not the driver he once was, and it just never came about.  We are truly sorry for that.  But we know, that you know, we loved you both dearly, and will always keep those good time in our hearts and memories. Sincerely with LOVE Lonnie & Don Freeman of Hartsel.

Grandpa, I will miss you so much!  You've always looked out for me as I've grown up.  Brian, Sabrina and I are sad for a gap has been left in our family.  We will try to fill it with all your great stories you were so well know for.  May you and Grandma find peace together again.  Love, Alicia

Grandpa, I'm glad the last time we talked I was able to tell you how much of a role model you were to me growing up. To be able to go out into the world at a young age, make something of yourself and provide better opportunities for your family is truly inspiring. You will be miised dearly by me and my family.

Daddy,  even with all the ups and downs, Scott and I will always cherish the time we spent together these last months.  It ended too soon.  We miss you and will never forget the stories you shared with us and the endless laughter that came with them.  We love you.
