leased property to build a trailer camp. Beverly’s mother died in 1937 from a blood clot after

live with his uncle (mother’s side) in Avon, NY. Beverly went to live with her mother’s brother
(Uncle Chuck, wife Aunt Kathrine and their daughter Charlene) in Colorado. Aunt Kathrine was
an English teacher and introduced Beverly to reading when she first arrived. Beverly loved
reading all her life. She started with Nancy Drew mysteries and later her favorite author was
John Grishom – she read every book he wrote.
Beverly met Bill Stanley at East Side Christian Church and married in 1951; they divorced in

Heritage Square as well as a cashier (a short period of time) at a gas station.
Beverly married Theodore (Ted) Notz February 14, 1976, THE LOVE OF HER LIFE.
They enjoyed traveling and spending quality time with family. Ted and Beverly moved to
Windsor Gardens in 2012. Ted passed away in 2018; they were married for 43 wonderful years.
Beverly’s health had begun to fail (Parkinsons, bone-on-bone arthritis and osteoporosis) so after
Ted’s death she moved to Eastern Star Assisted Living. Two years ago, she took a serious fall
breaking her sternum. After recovery, Beverly moved to Shalom Park skilled nursing at the end
of February, 2020. Beverly was an active participant in activities at Shalom, especially singing
and Bingo. She always had non-stop game shows on her television along with reading books so
fast it was hard to keep her supplied. Beverly always commented that Shalom took good care of
her. Previously, Beverly enjoyed many bridge games with her friends.

grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
