Edward Joseph Finger

(1948-2012)

Edward Joseph Finger died Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at his home. He was 63.

Ed was born March 11, 1948 in Sanatorium, Mississippi to Albert and Mary Finger. Ed is survived by his wife Julie, his children Edward, Joanna and James, his grandchildren Meagan, Steven, Alyssa, Jarrett, Rachel and Jesse, his mother Mary, his brothers Danny, David, Steve, Neal, Bryan, Mark, Donnie, Kenny, Jason, and Justin, and his sisters Suzie, Elizabeth, Becky, Lena, April, and Kristi.

Ed graduated in 1966 from Merritt Hutton High School in Thornton, Colorado. Ed served active duty in the United States Army from 1968 to 1970 and was Honorably Discharged. He retired from King Soopers in 1998 and later worked part-time at Whole Foods.

Ed was thoughtful, insightful, had a wonderful, dry sense of humor, and was great with numbers. He enjoyed gardening, exercising, listening to music, fishing, and spending time with his family and friends. His family will dearly miss his kindness, protection and guidance.

Services for Ed will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3698 S. Sheridan Blvd., Denver, CO on January 13, 2012 at 11:30 a.m. at Staging Area "B", use north entrance and turn on second right street that leads to driveway "B" to wait for Fort Logan Staff to take service to the staging area.
