

After Graduating from Evanston Township High School, he entered the United States
Force where he served his country for twenty years, five months and twenty eight days.
Upon retiring as a Technical Sergeant he joined the Denver Sheriff Department as deputy sheriff, where he served for thirteen years. He also drove for the Regional Transportation District.
He was not only a member of the Empire Elks Lodge #1493 IBPOEOW of the Galaxy Temple #1131, but held the office of Past Grand Exalted Ruler.
He leaves to cherish his memories a devoted companion, Frankie M. Echols, daughter, Sandra Marie Foster (Barry), Granddaughter Kyara Marie Jones, two great grandsons, Juwan Foster-Olloway and Antoine Jones all of Albuquerque, New Mexico. A sister, Estelle Edens, and a niece Leslie Yates of Chicago Illinois. Two stepdaughters, Debra Newman (Isiah) of Fairfield, California and Victoria Mallard ( Milton) of Dyersburg, Tennessee. George also left Sammy Mayfield and a host of family and friends.
A public visitation will be Saturday, August 28 from 2-5pm, with Eternal Service performed by Empire Elks Lodge #1493 at 5pm. Funeral Service on Monday, August 30, at 10am both at Olinger Hampden Chapel. Committal to follow at Ft. Logan National Cemetery.
