Hi Mom,
It's been one year from today and it really went so fast. We had all of the first's without you and I wish now you could come back to us. I had such a beautiful day with you today. I read every card that everyone sent us and so many beautiful thoughts and kind words were said. Some of the people had never met you but knew from knowing us kids, that you were some kind of woman.You taught us to be who we are today and we know you are so proud of us.
Today I just wanted to reflect on all the good memories we had together and boy did we have some great ones. Remember all the tennis matches that you watched of mine at least over 500 in my career and you stood behind me each step of the way. You encouraged me to be the best I could be and I always wanted to make you proud. Thank you for the giving me the gift of respect,caring, strength,and especially courage. Mom, you meant the world to me and now my world is  a bit broken. I am trying to remain strong like you had  taught me and I will continue to try and be that better person.
Thank you for a beautiful day Mom. I hope we have many many more days like we had today.
Emily and I went to Pete's kitchen in memory of you and our Gyros(Tzatziki sauce) were delicious. We hope you saw the balloons we sent up to you. They were sealed with so much love and they just kept going and going. We think you will get them soon.

Good Morning Grandma! 
One year ago from today you went up to the most beautiful and happiest place anyone could imagine but we know your presence is still with us today. I can't express to you how much I miss you and I wish you were here to experience all of the moments we have had as a family like Felipe going up to college and having a BBQ on mom's amazing deck. But you did get to go all over Hawaii with my mom and I and I couldn't have asked to spend that vacation with anyone else. 

Whenever I go visit you at the cemetery, it is always so hard not hearing your voice in return. I love talking to you grandma and you always gave me the hope and strength I needed to get through life. You always believed in me and supported me through everything I did. You are my hero grandma because you made me realize that as long as you have the positivity to get through a rough challenge, nothing will get in your way of achieving the greatest. You are such an inspiration to me and I wish that I will be as great of a mother as you and my mom and my aunt Rochelle have been. You sacrificed and supported your family and friends so much and I admire that with all of my heart.

Thank you for giving me the most amazing and loving and beautiful family anyone could ever have. I am so grateful to be apart of a family who cares about me and loves me till the very end. You did such a fantastic job of raising your kids to be the role models they needed to be. I love my aunt rochelle so much. She is always there for me and always puts a smile on my face. Georgie and Felipe are the best cousins I have ever had and I thank you everyday for having them in my life, I honestly don't know where I would be without them. And last but certainly not least, my mom, I love my mom to the moon and back. She does everything for me and provides me the life that I never could have imagined I would have. She is my inspiration and hero and no matter what happens, I know she will always be by my side and I will be by her side too. I am so thankful to have the best mom anyone could ever ask for.

Thank you for everything you have ever done for me and you have made such an impact in my life that you will always have a place in my heart. I didn't think today was going to be hard for me but I realized this is just the beginning. Why do our heroes have to go? It is not fair to see such a beautiful person who fought so hard against cancer to leave our lives when we need them the most. I wish you were here for my senior year as it is not easy and I know it's not supposed to be easy. I am so glad though that I got to spend the last 6 months of your life with you each and every one of those days. I will never forget your warm hand squeezes and your soft voice "okay." I still can't believe you are gone and one year has already passed. It's not easy going school on these kinds of days but I am blessed with such loving friends who will help me get through this hard time.

Thank you grandma for everything. I hope you are enjoying yourself up there and would you tell siede hello for me and that I love him too? You are the bestest grandma anyone could ever ask for and I just want to tell you one more thing...

Mom, tomorrow it will be one year since I have seen you and I so miss you so much.
I think about you everyday and I so miss  hearing your voice. 
I have so many things to share and only you would know the answer. I remember our talks and I could always tell you things about the past and you always remembered everybody I would be talking about. Now I just keep them to myself. Mom, one year has gone by so fast and can't believe I will never see you again in my lifetime. It hurts so much but I have become a stronger person and you would be proud. You were always so proud of me and I so wish I had those moments back to say ,thank you. Mom my hero has passed but you will never be forgotten.
I hope you are doing well and have met some good people up there. God has taken some really good ones lately.

Good Morning Grandma!!
I hope you are having a beautiful day today because you are such a beautiful person grandma. I miss you so very much grandma and I wish you were here with us today as life is tough without you. I know you are still with us grandma in spirit. Thank you grandma for keeping my friends and most importantly my family safe and thank you for always listening to me. I know I have probably told you this many times before but I just wanted to say thank you so so much for raising the most amazing daughters in the whole wide world and for giving them to me to be my loving mom and thoughtful aunt Rochelle and thank you for bringing georgie and flips back into my life as I love them so much! I am so grateful to have them in my life as I could not get though life without them and their amazing support. Thank you grandma for always believing in me and never giving up on me. Thank you for picking me up when I was pushed down and for being there for me when I needed you the most. You were my best friend grandma and you will always be. I loved talking with you and pushing you in a wheelchair because seeing you was the best part of my day. I am so sorry I have not seen you in a while and I feel horrible about that. I want to come see you as soon as I can because I enjoy talking to you and mom's friends at the cemetery :) Grandma, I am trying my best to make you and mom proud because that is my main goal in life and I just want to make you guys happy. I just got straight A's for the second semester of junior year and it was sure a tough year. But we got through it and next year will be my last year of high school grandma oh man time goes by so fast...oh and just to let you know Gidget is doing good she misses you but she sure loves to sleep haha well grandma i hope you are enjoying the rain and I just know that every time it rains, it's you. thank you grandma for everything you have done for me and everything you will do for me and I hope to come visit you very very soon! I love you so so so much grandma and please please keep close friends and family safe please. I hope you have a wonderful day grandma and send us a sign once in a while to say that you are doing okay. You're the besets grandma ever

Hi Mom,
I just wanted to say hello. I have been missing you so much and wanted to say that May 25th was very hard for me. All I kept thinking about on that day was that you gave birth to  your 9th child on this date -46 years ago.After having a stillborn baby you decided to give birth to two more children. You were  so selfless and never was given the credit for the sacrifices you made in your life. Mom, you are in a better place now especially when this world is becoming so selfish. I so much enjoy coming out to visit you but God, why do always take the good ones?? I may never know that answer. But I do know that he has a lot of good  ones up there

Good afternoon Mom,
I am sorry this is late but wanted to say thank you for having me. Thank you for giving me life and loving me for all these years. I had a nice day birthday but oh how I miss you. This place is not the same without you. I woke up on the 29th of April 2016 and so wanted to hear your voice. I did play back a message I had of you,smiled and then cried. I heard our song and I know now MOM, you are OK..
Mom, I never realized how hard this was going to be.  Please, give me strength to carry on. I know that is what you would want.
I am so proud of you and talked about you all the time when I am at the cemetery. I think people think I am crazy at times. I love visiting you and bringing you flowers. You have the best spot and WOW what a view

Mother's day is this weekend and do you know how hard the day will be without you? Emily and I will see you Sunday and I know you will be looking down on us knowing that you did a Hell of good job raising all of us!!

Good Morning Mom!
I have been thinking so much about you and wondering how you are doing. It's been 8 months and  it isn't getting any easier. I miss sharing my stories with you and miss you telling me that I am doing too many things. Sometimes I want to tell you something and I reach for my phone and realize you will never be on the other line. I miss your soft voice answering the phone. God, I would do anything to squeeze you hand or kiss that soft cheek of yours. Mom, Emily and I are doing fine but we have our days when we cry together. You will be forever in our hearts and always on our minds.

I miss you so so so much grandma and I wish you were here with us today but I know you are here with us in heart and in spirit. This week is Wish Week where fun things are happening and lives are forever changed. You would've loved to be apart of it, grandma, I know it. I am trying to participate in as many Wish Week activities as I can because you would've wanted me to! Thank you grandma for believing in me and pushing me to achieve my goals/dreams! Happy Anniversary MOM!! I would have been 63 years.Mom, you can't believe how much I miss you..I think about you every hour of every day and I so wish I could feel your touch once again. This is so very hard Mom and I am not sure  if it will ever get any easier. Today, I went through all the cards we all sent you over the last 20 years and I all I did was cry. I just wanted to say thank you for your unconditional love for all of my 53 years and how fortunate I was to have been so loved by you. Mom, you were my rock and  everyday you gave me so much strength and confidence  to be  the person I am today and I thank you. Take Care Mom and I am sending you all my love!

Happy Birthday Mom!! It was an absolutely beautiful day today. We all know you had something to do with it! We sure had a nice time at the cemetery today celebrating your special day. When the one candle did not go out ,we knew your soul was there with us. We hope you got the purple balloons we sent up to you. Mom, we all miss you so much and hope you you had a good day too.

Hi Grandma,

Today marks five months since you have been gone and it hasn't gotten easier. I think of you every day and I wish you were still here with us, laughing and smiling and hand squeezing because you gave the best hand squeezes anyone could ever give. 

I just wanted to thank you for everything you have done for me and everything you will do for me. You helped me see all the positives in life and to never take life for granted because you never know what day will be your last day. You taught me to never give up on my dreams and goals in life. With you by my side grandma, I felt like I could do anything in the world because you believed in me. 

I remember when you were winding down to your last couple days, I was playing in a soccer tournament up at Air Force Academy and I remember telling my mom that I was going to score a goal for you. And wouldn't you know, the first game that I played in, I scored a beautiful goal for a beautiful person. I then looked at my mom to make sure she saw it and then I looked up to God, to thank him for giving me the best 5 months in my whole life. 

I couldn't have asked for a better grandma than you. You gave me so much strength and confidence in myself and I know for a fact that those traits definitely run in the family. You changed me for the better grandma and I am so thankful for that. I am a better person because of you and I am doing my best to help spread the love to others just like you did.

You are my guardian angel and my hero grandma. I want to be just like you and my mom when I grow up. Thank you for raising the strongest, most determined, and most beautiful daughters (my mom and aunt rochelle) in the whole wide world because without them and you, I wouldn't be here today and I would not be nearly the person who I am today. I have learned so many valuable lessons from you and we have created so many memories that will forever be in my heart, grandma. I am trying to make you proud grandma and I am going to as I know you and my mom believe in me and support me in everything I set my mind to.

I miss you with all my heart and I just ask you of one favor...could you please keep my family and all of our friends safe and let nothing bad happen to anyone else. There are too many tragedies happening all throughout the world and terrible things are happening to good people. Why does this happen grandma? 

I hope you have a wonderful day today grandma and I hope you are watching over us with Uncle Leo and Aunt Leona and great grandma and great grandpa. We miss you so so so much grandma and you will always be remembered, I promise. Your birthday is coming up and I am going to come see you on that special day when you turn 27. I miss you so much today.I wish you were her to give me a hug. I really need one today.
Aunt Leona is on her way up. I know you two will reconnect and I  hope you can show her around. Mom , it is almost Christmas and I know it wasn't your favorite but all I can think about is you getting up in the middle of the night and putting presents under the tree(which all had to come out of your closet  first.We also can't forget the stockings filled with fruit and nuts. Life was so simple then. A new year is just around the corner and how life is passing us by.
Mom, Now I know you are ok somewhere and you are looking down on this mess so happy to not have to sort it all out. Mom, you are in my heart and my soul and you will be my breath when I grow old.

Today was the last day of our semester and Emily got straight A's again. I can hear you say, That is so good Emily!! You were always so proud of her and her grades. She is going to make you proud mom..

A NOTE FROM "MOM" to my family "I am with you always"

I have so many things to do and see.

be happy that we had so many years.

how much you gave me in happiness.
I thank you for the love you each have shown,
but it's time I traveled on alone.

MOM, WHAT STRENGTH AND COURAGE YOU HAD.  IT IS REMARKABLE THAT AT 81 YOU HAD 10 RADIATION TREATMENTS TO YOUR BRAIN, 17 CHEMO TREATMENTS TO YOUR BODY ALL WITHIN A FEW MONTHS  AND WANTED TO KEEP GOING.  THAT IS COURAGE. EVERYDAY I ASK GOD FOR MORE COURAGE AND LOVE.   THANKS FOR BEING MY MOM, MY BOY'S GRANDMOTHER AND JUST A BEAUTIFUL PERSON.  I LOVE YOU TO THE MOON AND BACK.
