Helen Viola Acierno

Helena Viola Acierno, 97 of Denver, Colorado passed away peacefully with her family at her side on March 23, 2015. She was born June 3, 1917 in Chase County Nebraska, graduated from Brighton High School in 1935 and married her Husband George in 1954. They remained happily married until George passed away in 1996. Helen was a seamstress most of her life, retiring from Triangle Cleaners in the early 70's.

She is survived by her daughter Karen Bongiovanni, and son-in-law, Scott Markham. Grandmother to Charles Bongiovanni , his wife Terrie, Annamarie Wiseman, her husband Nathan, Ed Upton and his wife Mary Lou. Helen was the proud Great-Grandmother of seven, Great-Great-Grandmother of one, along with numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her Sister-in-law to Blanche Meyer of Bennett, CO, whom she remained very close to.

Helen was Preceded in death by her beloved husband George R, Stepson George S, and four brothers, Hank, Bill, Fritz, and Bud Meyer.

Helen enjoyed playing Bingo often, and attending monthly Railroad Retirement gatherings, but mostly, Helen was happiest just being surrounded by her Family.
