

Jack Lublin was born Feb. 2, 1924 in Salt Lake City Utah. He was the youngest of 3 children; he had a sister named Dorothy and a brother named Ted. His parents were Mormon missionaries and they met in England on a mission trip. Jack grew up in Salt Lake City. He often talked about the days he worked at the neighborhood grocery store delivery groceries and working in the produce department. His father owned a laundry service and his mother stayed home with her children. In 1943 Jack enlisted in the Navy. He was assigned to the The USS California Battleship as a radio operator. The USS California was involved in many sea battles in the South Pacific. Jack was very proud of his time in the Navy and talked it about it often.
After WWII was over, Jack returned to Salt Lake where he enrolled in the University of Utah and received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing. He went to work for Gates Rubber Company as a Salesman. On a business trip to Denver he met wife Mary they married June 27, 1953. They started their family in 1955 and had five children. Jack liked being a salesman and spent over 18 years as a salesman for a truck line. After Jack retired from the trucking industry he went to work part time for Hoover demonstrating vacuum cleaners. Jack worked from the time he was 12 years old until he was 80.
Jack loved to golf, camp and garden. He won some camping equipment in a sales contest and later purchased pop up tent trailer then a motor home. His last camping trip was at 84 years old and he spent 3 days in the rain in a tent. He referred to this as the camping trip from hell. He also hit a hole in one golfing and often talked about his golfing buddies. He enjoyed his kids and grand kids. He liked to watch them swim in the back yard pool; he would often spray them down with cold hose water while they were in the pool. He had 10 grand children and one great grandchild.
Jack loved the Broncos and has been a season ticket holder since the early 70’s. He loved to go to the games as well as watch them on TV.
Jack celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary with his wife with a party and his first limousine ride in 2003. Mary passed away 3 years before Jack and he missed her dearly.
Jack will be remembered as a fun loving guy who loved to be with people. He loved to tell jokes and visit. Jack lived a wonderful happy life.
