John C. Ellis passed away peacefully in Aurora, Colorado on September 29, 2014. He was 66 years old. John was born in Mississippi in 1948 to J.C. Ellis and Annie Mae Lenson. He is preceded in death by his parents. John is survived by his 3 children, Kimone "Kimmie" (Fidel) Ellis, Kara (David) Goodrich and John C. Ellis, Jr.; 3 grandchildren, Christian, J'den, Nala, and extended family. Mr. Ellis will lie in state from 11am - 1pm on Sunday, October 5, 2014 at Olinger Hampden Mortuary in Denver. Funeral services are also at Olinger Hampden Mortuary at 10am on Monday, October 6, 2014. John will be laid to rest at Olinger Hampden Cemetery immediately following the services.
