Kelly Lynnette Miller or “Kelly Miller” as she was affectionately called, was born on October 23, 1963, and called home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 5, 2021. She was born in Kansas City, Missouri to William and Ann Miller.
The Miller family moved from Kansas City to Denver, Colorado in 1970. As a student Kelly attended Hope Center, Manual High School, and Emily Griffiths Opportunity School. As an adult she “worked” as she called it, at Laradon Hall Day Program. In 2015 Kelly started attending Care and Community Day Program. Kelly did not know many strangers and her time at Care and Community Day Program allowed her to continue to be the social butterfly that she was. She truly enjoyed the many outings, parties, and gatherings with her peers.
For those who knew Kelly, knew she enjoyed attending church, praying for you and singing praise songs. She was fondly known as the “Praise Queen”. One of Kelly’s favorite pastimes was listening to music, especially Michael Jackson, and dancing. She also liked sports with the Broncos being her favorite team, and she liked to bowl. Kelly would let you know that she got a “strike”.
Kelly’s personality was a magnet that attracted people to her. Whether it was her animated faces or voices, her smile, singing, or dance moves, she would brighten anyone’s day. Kelly was loved by many, family and friends alike. The love that she had for her family was immeasurable, and she will be missed dearly.
Kelly is survived by her siblings: William III, Karla (Bryan), Kim (Gary), Karen, Kevin (Nancy) loving nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of family and friends. Kelly was proceeded in death by both her parents, William (1999) and Ann (2019).
A visitation for Kelly will be held Monday, August 23, 2021 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Olinger Hampden Mortuary & Cemetery, 8600 East Hampden Ave, Denver, CO 80231. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, August 24, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Bethlehem Temple Family Worship Center, 389 Quentin St, Aurora, CO 80011.
