Luella Edith Warnken

Luella Edith Scott Wise Bunce Warken, born on May 6, 1923 in Woonsocket, South Dakota. They soon moved to Artesian, South Dakota area. where she grew up and graduated from Artesian High School in 1941. In 1942 she and Maynard Bunce were married. They had six children; Donald Melvin, Betty Jane, Lyle Maynard, Nancy Jo, Alan Curtis and Nina Kay. They moved to Denver, Colorado in 1953. She and Maynard divored. Later she was married to Virgil Warnken for five years. As a single mother, she worked for Samsonite Luggage Corporation for twenty~five years and retiring in 1988. 9 grandchildren; Sue, Carmen, Monica, Melvin, Neressa, Jason, Tamara, Rashad, Richard. 13 great grandchildren; Kayla, Briana, Aaron, Audrysea, Louriah, Tattyana, Josiah, Mariah, Leon, Ryan, Logan, Morgan and Shane. were much involved in her life. Luella was preceded in death by her parents, ex husband Maynard Bunce, her still born sister, brother Stuart from Highmore, South Dakota, her brother Hubert Scott from West Bend, Wisconsin, sister-in-law Connie Scott from Wisconsin, brother-in-law Otto Neugebauer from Parkston, South Dakota, still born grandchild baby Birlauf and her own daughter Nancy Jo Marquez of Denver, Colorado. And her daughter-in-law Renate Bunce.
