Marilyn R. Ellis was welcomed into the Lord’s house on March 24, 2012. Marilyn was born and raised in Denver, the only child of Edward and Mary Paul. She graduated from North High School in Denver, and attended the University of Denver.
She married Herbert M Ellis in February, 1950, and was happily married for over 61 years before Herb passed away in November, 2011. They were blessed with 4 children: 3 sons - Edward and Tracy, both living in Denver; Michael, living in Texas; and a daughter, Kathy, living in Denver.
Marilyn worked throughout the years as an administrative assistant in the insurance industry, but was mostly devoted to her husband and children and all their activities. She was deeply religious and enjoyed being involved with the church.
Marilyn always lit up a room wherever she went, and was instantly liked by anybody that had the privilege of meeting her. Her list of friends was long, and the ease in which she befriended people was envied by others. She was a kind, giving person who had a permanent smile on her face. She will be missed by those who remain to fondly remember her, but we are comforted in knowing she will be joined in heaven by all who have gone before her.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband of almost 62 years, Herbert. She is survived by her four children, Ed; Mike and wife Judy; Kathy Diehl and husband David; Tracy and wife Judy. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren; Brian Mueller and wife Kim; Sarah Mueller; Jeff Diehl and wife Rebekah; Zachary Ellis; and 3 great grandchildren, Nathan Mueller; Taylor Diehl; and Sydney Diehl.
