Micheal Anthony Garcia, age 54, passed away on June 20, 2021 due to kidney and heart failures. He had his first kidney failure in February 2002 and started dialysis in March that year. He was on dialysis for about 4.5 years before he received a kidney transplant in June 2006. The new kidney failed after 9 years and Mike had to go back to dialysis 3x a week in July 2015. April 2020 a defibrillator was installed to help with his wonky heart to help normalize his heart beat.
Mike was born on January 4, 1967 to Thomas Joseph Garcia and Kathleen Lalilly Green. He is survived by his mother, Kathleen (Fernando Reyes), wife Maureen, son Tony Clements, brother Norman Garcia (Mary), and sister Dottie Fobel (Jeff).
Mike was a fun loving guy who loved amusement parks, video games, loved watching movies, and most impressive knew the lyrics of hundreds of songs. He loved cooking and had created a few recipes of his own. He planned to beat Bobby Flay and entered himself into one of the cooking competitions. He was a man with a golden heart, very patient and willing to help anyone in any way he could. He went to Romania with a few other church members in 1990 as one of the volunteers to build housings for under privilege children. He had done a couple more volunteer works in California and Nevada.
Mike had published a book titled “The Quest for the Golden Armor” in 2015. Last year he was working with a new publisher who would consider this book made into an inspiring PG-13 movie.
