Nadine Wanda Tombs was born September 20, 1926 in Wyandotte County Kansas to Frank E. Foreman and Maud Baker Foreman. She was the third child born to this union. Her siblings Frank Jr., Robert, and Gladys preceded her in death, as did both her parents. Her brother William and his wife Fleciadad live in Oxnard, California. She was educated in the public school system in Edwardsville Kansas. She completed her high school education and received her associate’s degree in San Diego California.
Nadine married Leroy Cleveland Tombs Sr. and to this union five children were born: Darlene Marie Collier, Wanda Elizabeth Ford, husband Edward Ford Sr., Leroy Cleveland Tombs Jr., wife Irene (deceased), Madlyn Dianne Tombs, and Phillip Sherman Tombs. She was blessed with a host of grand and great grandchildren.
Nadine was known for being gentle and having a beautiful smile. She was smart, focused, organized, thrifty, clean, and always ahead of her time. She loved the Lord and for many years faithful to the church. She was Catholic early in life and her last twenty plus years she spent worshiping at New Life, health permitting.
She wanted her children and grandchildren to know that she was proud of all of them and loved them ALL THE SAME! She wanted her brother Billy to know she loved and missed him very much. She wanted her brother and sister in law to know how much she appreciated their visits. She wanted the staff at Liggins Towers to know how grateful she was for their assistance, most of all she wanted the all of her caregivers at Manor Care of Denver, and Abode Hospice to get “A BIG KISS” for the care that she received.
