

Ofelia Leal, 45, of Denver, Colorado, passed away on July 26, 2017 at Collier Hospice Center. Ofelia was born on August 9, 1971 in Denver, Colorado to Manuel and Odilia Leal. Ofelia graduated from Holy Family High School and lived in North Denver. She worked at King Soopers in various capacities in and around Denver for 30 years. She was a talented cosmetologist who volunteered to cut hair for the sick and elderly. She was s huge Denver sports fan, met many players over the years and collected Colorado Rockies memorabilia. She loved music and enjoyed lacing up her ice skates.
Ofelia is survived by Dennis Marquez, her partner of 18 years, brothers Manuel Leal, Jr., Rigo Leal, sister Odilia Leal-McIntyre, sisters-in-law Jeanne Leal and Connie Blankis, nephews and nieces Kyle, Sarah, Kellen, Meghan, Ali, Rory and Mia.
She brought joy and laughter to everyone she met and will be missed. A rosary and viewing is scheduled for Tuesday, August 1 at 4:00 pm at Olinger Moore Howard Chapel, 4345 West 46th Avenue, Denver, CO. A celebration of life will take place on Wednesday, August 2 at 10 am in the chapel. Memorial contributions can be made to the Collier Hospice Center, 3210 N Lutheran Pkwy, Wheat Ridge, CO 80033.
